Toronto to serve as hub for engineering and GTM teams across the region

SAN FRANCISCO and TORONTO, September 3, 2026 — Doppel, the Frontier AI Social Engineering Defense (SED) platform, today announced the opening of its first Canadian office in Toronto, marking the company’s sixth global office. The new office will establish a local presence for Doppel as the company increasingly serves Canadian businesses and continues investing in the region’s deep sales and engineering talent.
The new Toronto office will primarily serve as an engineering hub, while also providing a local base for members of Doppel’s growing go-to-market team in the area. Doppel is actively building its regional team and plans to grow its Canadian office to 25 employees over the next year.
Toronto was selected in large part because of the region’s technical talent pool, including a strong network of engineers from local universities. The Toronto team will support Doppel’s broader product development and customer growth efforts.
“Toronto has become one of the strongest technology talent markets in North America, and we’ve already seen firsthand the caliber of engineers coming out of the region,” said Natasha Mohanty, SVP of Engineering at Doppel. “We’re excited to establish a permanent presence here and build a team that will play an important role in the next phase of Doppel’s product and engineering growth.”
The expansion comes as organizations face increasingly sophisticated social engineering attacks powered by AI. Doppel helps enterprises defend against these threats across the full social engineering attack chain, spanning digital impersonation, email, voice, SMS, and other attack surfaces. As attacks become increasingly multi-channel and target both employees and brands, organizations are looking for more unified ways to detect, disrupt, and respond to social engineering threats.
“Canada is home to some of the world’s most innovative companies, and they’re facing the same AI-driven social engineering threats we see globally,” said Kevin Tian, CEO and Co-founder of Doppel. “Establishing a permanent presence in Toronto brings us closer to Canadian organizations while giving us access to an exceptional technology talent pool. We’re excited to invest in both as we continue bringing our Frontier AI Social Engineering Defense platform to businesses across the region.”
The expansion follows Doppel’s formal entry into Japan earlier this year, headlined by the appointment of Hideki Ushigome as Japan Country Manager. With today’s office opening, Doppel now operates six global hubs across San Francisco, New York, Austin, Tokyo, Toronto, and London.

Doppel is the Frontier AI Social Engineering Defense (SED) platform, protecting individuals and brands from AI-powered impersonation, phishing, fraud, and social engineering through three solutions unified on a shared intelligence layer. Digital Risk Protection (DRP) detects threats across multiple channels, links alerts into a real-time threat graph, and delivers AI-driven infrastructure disruption. Human Risk Management (HRM) turns those live threats into phishing simulation campaigns and next-generation security awareness training, measuring and reducing employee risk by user and team. Email Security adds inline protection, using a self-healing, agentic architecture that tunes detection policies, investigates threats, closes detection gaps, and uses the Doppel Threat Graph to stop inbox attacks and disrupt the infrastructure behind them. Together, they defend the entire social engineering attack chain, from infrastructure built before a target is acquired to the moment of compromise, advancing Doppel's mission to protect the world from social engineering, every day.
