Doppel Expands Executive Leadership Team

This week Doppel announced a significant expansion of our executive leadership team with key strategic hires, signaling a robust future and continued growth.

The company welcomes Bobby Ford as Chief Strategy and Experience Officer, Alex Hu as Vice President of Finance, and Alyssa Smrekar as Senior Vice President of Marketing. These appointments underscore Doppel's commitment to enhancing its customer experience, solidifying its financial operations, and elevating its market presence as it redefines social engineering defense.

Bobby Ford brings nearly three decades of unparalleled experience in cybersecurity, having served as CISO for major enterprises like Abbott Labs and Unilever, and most recently as SVP and Chief Security Officer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. His military background as a founding member of the Pentagon Computer Incident Response Team further underlines his deep cybersecurity expertise.

At Doppel, Ford will focus on ensuring an exceptional customer experience, acting as a crucial industry advocate, and providing thought leadership to advance the company's mission of protecting brands, executives, and consumers from sophisticated, AI-assisted social engineering threats.

Alex Hu, as VP of Finance, will be instrumental in overseeing financial planning and investor relations. His prior senior leadership roles at BigID and Dataiku, where he played a key role in raising over $1 billion in venture capital and scaling both companies to "centaur" status, position him perfectly to guide Doppel's financial strategy.

Alyssa Smrekar, as SVP of Marketing, will lead all facets of the company's marketing efforts. Her proven track record of building and scaling comprehensive marketing teams, including her previous roles as VP of Brand Marketing and Interim CMO at dbt Labs, and leadership positions at Intercom and Okta, will be vital in expanding Doppel's reach and brand recognition.

These strategic hires follow Doppel's recent announcement of a $35 million Series B funding round, which has fueled substantial company growth. In addition to expanding our executive team, we recently opened a second office in New York and surpassed 100 full-time employees, with growth across all departments. Other recent key hires include Mike Ferrari as SVP of Sales and Billy Jennings as VP of Customer Success and Security Operations.
