Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) governs the access to and use of the products, software, APIs, data, websites, platforms, intelligence capabilities, and other offerings (collectively, the “Solutions”) provided by Doppel Inc. (“Doppel,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

Doppel provides social engineering defense, including digital risk protection, impersonation detection, brand protection, executive protection, and human risk management solutions designed to help organizations identify, investigate, monitor, and remediate online threats targeting their employees, executives, customers, brands, and digital assets across online platforms, communications channels, and internet services (“Source Platforms”).

Because the Solutions may involve the collection, analysis, monitoring, and processing of publicly available, customer-provided, or customer-authorized information, customers and authorized users (“you” and “your”) must use the Solutions responsibly, lawfully, and in accordance with this Policy.

This Policy supplements any applicable software-as-a-service agreement, order form, or other agreement governing your use of the Solutions (collectively, the “Agreement”). In the event of a conflict between this Policy and the Agreement, the Agreement will control. By accessing or using the Solutions, you agree to comply with this Policy.

1. Lawful Use. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Solutions is lawful in the jurisdictions in which you operate. You will use the Solutions only in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and governmental requirements, including laws relating to (a) privacy and data protection; (b) surveillance and monitoring; (c) consumer protection; (d) intellectual property; (e) employment and labor; (f) export controls and sanctions; (g) cybersecurity and computer fraud; and (h) anti-harassment and anti-discrimination.

2. Respect for Third-Party Rights. You may not use the Solutions in any manner that infringes, misappropriates, or violates the rights of any person or entity. You agree to respect the legal rights of others, including (a) copyrights; (b) trademark rights; (c) rights of publicity; (d) privacy rights; (e) contractual rights; and (f) other intellectual property and proprietary rights.

3.Prohibited Uses 3.1 Illegal Activities. You may not use the Solutions to: (a) commit or facilitate unlawful conduct; (b) engage in fraud, identity theft, or deceptive practices; (c) violate any applicable sanctions, embargoes, or export restrictions; or (d) conduct unauthorized surveillance or monitoring prohibited by law.

3.2 Harmful or Abusive Conduct. You may not use the Solutions to (a) harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate individuals; (b) target individuals or groups based on protected characteristics; (c) facilitate violence, terrorism, or extremist activity; (d) promote or distribute malicious software, phishing content, or scams

3.3 Unauthorized Access or Interference. You may not (a) attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data; (b) circumvent security controls or platform restrictions; (c) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Solutions; (d) Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law.

3.4 Improper Data Collection or Use. You may not (a) collect, retain, or process personal data beyond what is authorized under applicable law and your agreement with Doppel; (b) use the Solutions to build or supplement dossiers on individuals for unlawful profiling or discrimination; (c) Use the Solutions to monitor individuals without appropriate authorization or legal basis; (d) Resell, redistribute, or improperly disclose data obtained through the Solutions.

3.5 Competitive or Unauthorized Commercial Use. You may not (a) use the Solutions to develop or improve a competing product or service; (b) benchmark the Solutions for public disclosure without Doppel’s prior written consent; (c) resell or sublicense access to the Solutions except as expressly authorized in writing.

3.6 Misuse of Enforcement Mechanisms. You may not use the Solutions to submit, facilitate, or support knowingly false, fraudulent, misleading, abusive, or bad-faith reports, complaints, notices, takedown requests, remediation requests, or enforcement actions. You may not use the Solutions to interfere with the lawful operations, accounts, services, or business activities of any person or entity through misuse of reporting, remediation, or enforcement processes.

4. Source Platforms and Third-Party Services. The Solutions may interact with, rely upon, or incorporate information from third-party platforms, websites, applications, and services (“Source Platforms”). Your use of information obtained from Source Platforms remains subject to the applicable Source Platform terms, policies, and restrictions. You are responsible for complying with all applicable third-party terms and conditions. Examples may include: X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, Meta platforms, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Telegram, Discord, GitHub, Reddit, Google services, and other online or collaboration platforms. Doppel does not control Source Platforms and is not responsible for changes made by those providers, including changes to APIs, terms of service, or access restrictions.

5. Customer Responsibilities. You are responsible for (a) maintaining the confidentiality of user credentials; (b) restricting access to authorized personnel; (c) promptly notifying Doppel of unauthorized access or suspected misuse; (d) ensuring your users are trained on appropriate and lawful use of the Solutions; (e) maintaining appropriate internal policies and procedures governing your use of the Solutions; and (f) all activities conducted under your accounts.

6. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Systems. If the Solutions include AI-enabled, machine learning, automated detection, or generative capabilities, you agree not to use such functionality to (a) generate unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content; (b) make automated decisions where prohibited by law; (c) produce content intended to impersonate individuals fraudulently; (d) conduct mass surveillance or profiling in violation of applicable law; (e) generate spam, misinformation, or disinformation campaigns; and (f) maintain human oversight and review of outputs generated through the Solutions.

7. Security and Integrity. You may not (a) probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Solutions without authorization; (b) use the Solutions in a manner that degrades system performance or availability; (c) upload malicious code, ransomware, spyware, or harmful payloads; or (d) Circumvent rate limits, authentication controls, or access restrictions. Doppel may implement technical limitations, monitoring, and safeguards to enforce this Policy and protect the integrity of the Solutions.

8. Investigations and Enforcement. Doppel reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this Policy. If Doppel determines, in its sole discretion, that you have violated this Policy, Doppel may take any action it deems appropriate, including, (a) issuing warnings; (b) suspending or limiting access; (c) removing content or data; (d) terminating access to the Solutions; (e) reporting activity to law enforcement or regulatory authorities; and/or (f) pursuing legal remedies. Doppel may cooperate with law enforcement or governmental agencies where required or appropriate.

10. Changes to this Policy. Doppel may update this Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Solutions after an updated Policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
