SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 23, 2026 — Doppel, the Frontier AI Social Engineering Defense (SED) platform, today announced that veteran security executive Joey Rachid has joined Doppel as Chief Security Advisor and Field CISO. The announcement follows a series of recent leadership appointments, as well as recognition from Fast Company and SiliconANGLE.
Joey Rachid Joins as Chief Security Advisor
A four-time CISO, Rachid brings more than 20 years of cybersecurity and risk leadership across global enterprises, high-growth companies, and critical infrastructure. He most recently served as Global Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Security Officer at Xerox, where he led a global security organization of more than 100 people.
At Doppel, Rachid will work closely with customers and go-to-market teams to strengthen executive relationships and support strategic new business opportunities. He will also bring the perspective of a longtime security practitioner into Doppel's platform and go-to-market strategy, helping ensure the company continues building around the evolving needs of CISOs and enterprise security teams.
“Having spent my career on the CISO side, I know how quickly the threat landscape is changing and how difficult it is for security teams to keep pace,” said Rachid. “Social engineering is becoming more coordinated, convincing, and difficult to contain, and Doppel is building the unified platform enterprises will need to address it. I’m excited to work directly with customers and the team to help shape the future of Social Engineering Defense.”
Building the Leadership Team for Doppel's Next Stage
The appointment comes amid broader growth across Doppel's leadership team. In recent months, Doppel promoted Alyssa Smrekar to Chief Marketing Officer and Rhiley Walsh to Head of Legal, Senior Director.
Additionally, former Varonis Systems and Vectra AI executive Ofir Ronen joined the company as Senior Vice President of Customer Success, while former Cofense Chief Security Officer Joshua Bartolomie joined as Vice President and Head of Global Threat Intelligence.
Together, the additions deepen Doppel's leadership across security, customer success, marketing, legal, and go-to-market strategy as the company continues to scale.
Industry Recognition
The leadership expansion comes alongside growing external recognition for Doppel’s technology, culture, and approach to Social Engineering Defense:
- Fast Company named Doppel to its 2026 Best Workplaces for Innovators list, recognizing the culture and innovation mindset the company has built as it tackles a rapidly evolving security problem.
- Doppel was also named a winner in the 2026 SiliconANGLE TechForward Awards in the AI-Powered Threat Detection category, recognizing the company's use of AI to help organizations detect and dismantle social engineering attacks.
