Pete Pang

Pete was Head of Email Security and Security Intelligence at a premier global cybersecurity firm, where he worked with internet-scale telemetry and some of the world’s largest enterprises. Earlier at Twilio, he worked to prevent abuse of communications infrastructure that attackers can exploit for phishing and social engineering. Together, those roles gave him perspective across both the infrastructure adversaries use and the enterprise security teams responsible for detecting and stopping them.

Pete is known for email security, detection engineering, and threat intelligence, including research into emerging attack techniques such as QR-code phishing and large-scale backscatter campaigns. His work focuses on understanding how adversaries evade traditional controls, translating those patterns into new detection capabilities, and increasingly applying frontier AI and LLMs to turn complex security signals into reliable, actionable cybersecurity decisions at scale.

He has served as a trusted advisor to security leaders across Global 2000 and Fortune 500 companies, and has spoken at and led multiple Customer Advisory Councils focused on threat detection and the evolution of cybersecurity platforms. At Doppel, he brings that practitioner and customer perspective into the development of AI systems designed to reason through complex cyber problems with expert-level judgment.
