We are looking for a Senior Commercial Counsel, who will support a broad range of commercial transactions across Doppel’s global business. You’ll handle both customer-facing deals and vendor/supplier agreements, enabling sales growth while ensuring Doppel’s internal operations and procurement contracts are sound. This is a hands-on role with high visibility across the company.


What You’ll Do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including:
    • SaaS agreements, Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and security/AI terms
    • Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
    • Reseller & channel partner agreements
    • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
  • Draft, review, and negotiate vendor / supplier / procurement agreements (IT, services, cloud infrastructure, professional services, etc.).
  • Prepare redlines based on established guidance and independently negotiate contracts from start to finish while escalating deviations to Director of Legal as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary legal partner for commercial privacy matters. 
  • Provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice that accelerates deal cycles while protecting company interests under time pressure of closing financial quarters.
  • Assist in updating contract templates, fallback clause libraries, signature matrices, and process documentation.
  • Support internal enablement by helping prepare guidance materials and assisting teams in understanding the contracting process.
  • Collaborate with Security, Marketing and Product teams on data protection and regulatory compliance as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • J.D. (or equivalent) and active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
  • CIPP/EU and/or CIPP/US
  • 7-8+ years of commercial in-house commercial negotiations with tech/SaaS focus with an emphasis on privacy matters
  • Ability to independently negotiate SaaS license agreements, DPAs, SLAs, reseller/partner agreements, NDAs, and vendor/procurement contracts.
  • Excellent drafting skills, business judgment, and ability to translate complex legal issues into practical guidance.
  • Self-starter comfortable working remotely, managing multiple priorities, and partnering cross-functionally.
  • High level of customer service for both internal and external clients, processing requests for support with a sense of urgency
  • Experience with Slack, Google Suite (GDrive, Gmail) and Docusign is required; capable for quickly adapting to other contracting and CPQ tools as needed
